Star Cinema’s Milan movie was recently restored and was shown at the University of the Philippines Diliman. One of its stars, Iza Calzado, remarked that she is truly humbled and honored to be part of the movie.
“My initial reaction was, ‘Has it been that long?’ For a film to be restored it makes you feel old doesn’t it? Pero naisip ko it’s a great way so that it can be shown again in cinemas and so that the quality will be much better and of course I really felt that I was blessed and honored to be part of it but from day one, I felt that way, talagang nong nalaman ko na ire-restore sabi ko kasi siguro magandang pelikula talaga siya and I am so humbled to be part of it.”
Iza relayed that she has learned a lot from doing the movie. “I only had two days in the shoot [but] the most memorable lesson was that you always have to be focused, you trust your director and respect everybody on the set kasi I guess that’s the first film I did.”
When asked if she wants to star again in a film with Milan’s main stars Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto altogether, she responded, “Always. I’m working with Claudine for Etiquette for Mistresses at the moment. I’ve worked with Piolo last year twice. Of course if I could work with them.”
