Male group Masculados Dos member Ozu Ong met an untimely death in the wee hours of August 2 due to an alleged carjacking incident.
Ozu or Marcelo de Guzman Ong II in real life was shot in the chest by unknown attackers while on his way to his home at Primrose Hills Subdivision in Angono, Rizal.
Reports have it that Ozu came from a Masculados gig in Timog Avenue while driving his new Toyota Hilux with the plate number AAO 2722 when the incident happened.
"Wala siyang sugat eh wala siyang sinapak sa mukha or whatsoever. Talagang binaril na lang, e, parang wala nang nangyaring usapan eh. Binaril na lang basta, kinuha na lang yung sasakyan niya,"said Ozu's sister Maan Ong in an interview with PEP.
Upon hearing about the incident, Ozu's wife according to Maan immediately rushed to the crime scene.
She lamented that the residents refused to help her brother, "So, nagmakaawa na siya hanggang sa pumayag na sila. Siguro umabot ng 5 to 10 minutes bago nadala ng ospital pa."
Ozu's remains currently lies at Transfiguration of Christ Parish Church Chapel in Antipolo.
