On Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Grae Fernandez said he attended a workshop conducted by Malou De Guzman to prepare him for his character in The Love Affair.
Grae said that, like his character, he is a happy and joyful person. What he doesn’t share with his character is the presence of family problems.
Grae shared he was terrified when he learned he’d be working with big stars like Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, and Bea Alonzo. Grae “stuttered” in the first couple of days of taping and it would take around “ten takes” to shoot a single scene. However, when Grae saw how kind his co-stars were, he started to relax.
For Grae, the best scene in the film would be when his character “got to see his family’s problems” and realized that he doesn’t have a perfect family.
Asked if he ever gets advice from his father, actor Mark Anthony Fernandez, Grae said Mark tells him to “be always early (and to) keep your feet on the ground.” When it comes to acting, Mark advised him to “always be natural.”
Grae’s dream role is a “person with mental disease.” On Fast Talk, Grae said he would rather be singing than dancing. His favorite girl’s name is Angela. Grae thinks Liza Soberano is beautiful. Toys like Lego make Grae happy. What makes him sad is seeing his parents angry at each other. Grae would never get a tattoo and if he were face to face with God he’d tell him, “I love him and He is everything.”
