Bea Alonzo on her relationship with Zanjoe Marudo: ‘Papunta na kami sa liwanag’
081315-beaalon_main.jpgOn Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Bea Alonzo said she has a lot of realizations coming from the movie The Love Affair. “Marami (akong) pinagdaanang emosyon na in denial lang ako na dito ko nahugot.”

Bea said that when she was in the process of learning her character, she couldn’t believe that there are actually women so weak. But after reflecting upon it, she realized that “napagdaanan ko yun.”

The movie also helped her realize that, “you don't have to depend on anybody to be happy. It’s your very own personal responsibility to be happy.” She also quoted a favorite line in her movie: “It’s better to be alone than to be with somebody and still feel lonely.”

She said there are women who appear strong on the outside, who give the appearance that “they can hold it together. But they cannot.” She said maybe part of the reason is social media wherein “we always pretend to be happy.”

Bea also said she’s already feeling “sepanx” for her co-stars Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta. “Nag-rub off ang pagiging free-spirited at happy people nila.” She said the two still get very excited with stuff like mall shows, block screenings etc. even if they’ve been in the industry a long time.  She also admired how Richard and Dawn can be effective onscreen love team, while both of them are happily married to their respective spouses.

Asked how her relationship with Zanjoe Marudo is going, Bea smiled and said, “papunta na kami sa liwanag.”
