Yeng Constantino launches new restaurant The Ostrich Farm

Aside from burgers made out of ostrich patties, the new resto also serves salads, fresh juices, and a whole lot more. Yeng enthusiastically shared with the media during the launch how they came up with the idea of building this unique restaurant.</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Nangyari ‘to</i> after our wedding, <i>ito na ‘yung bagong pinapasok naming dalawa ngayon bilang mag- asawa. Ang </i>business partners <i>namin dito ang family nila may ostrich farm sa Cotabato lang, South Cotabato so ayon naisip nila ang </i>concept<i> na ganito na gumawa ng </i>restaurant. <i>Tapos wala namang… parang ito ‘yung</i> first ever <i>na makarinig ng ostrich na ganito na nagbebenta, ng ganito so ayun.</i> Business partners <i>ko na sila </i>for Garage 88 (Yeng’s first restaurant) s<i>o don nag-start. Tapos nag-uusap na kami. Sabi ko sa kanya meron kaming interest ni </i>Yan (Asuncion, her husband) <i>na </i>to go into business even noon engaged <i>pa kami tapos sinabi niya meron pa kaming isa kung gusto mag-partners. Tapos ‘yung in-open nila ‘yung</i> opportunity <i>nag- jump in na kami,</i>” she relayed.</div><div><br/></div><div>Yeng further relayed that their business partners were actually the ones who sponsored their wedding cocktails and they received great feedback. “<i>Pero</i> before n<i>on nag-sponsor muna sila sa </i>cocktails and drinks for our wedding <i>at ang ganda ng </i>feedback <i>ng lahat ng tao sabi tapos sobrang sarap ng</i> burger <i>don sa </i>cocktail<i> pa lang.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>The Pop Rock Princess said that she did not have any hesitations when they were initially planning the business. “<i>Wala naman kasi pareho kasi kam ni Yan, kami sobrang</i> adventurous <i>kami, kung may bago, parang tara sabayan natin ‘yung ganon. Kasi siya ‘yung klaseng person na parang</i> if challenging <i>siya</i> it’s not something <i>na magpapa-back out sa amin kasi </i>we know<i> na magbubunga ‘to</i> in the future,<i> na hindi lang</i> for us, <i>pati na ‘yung sa </i>vision <i>namin</i> for the family.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Yeng believes that this just the start of their entrepreneurial adventures since she wants to create more businesses in the future. “Feeling <i>namin ni Yan</i> starting point <i>pa lang ‘to eh kasi magga-gather pa kami ng</i> wisdom, knowledge about this. Passionate <i>din ako</i> about <i>pagkukulay ng buhok</i>, fashion, <i>mga </i>nail polish, <i>gusto ko siya wala pa akong </i>connection <i>tungkol don pero may natutunan na ako tungkol don</i> and <i>maa-apply ko ‘yun pag nandon na ako</i>.” </div><div><br/></div>
