"It was around four or five years ago, after leaving the [adult film] industry, I was really worried because I was just in the [adult film] industry for five years. I really didn't know how famous I was or who knew me but after quitting and doing different jobs in Japan or overseas, it was like they all knew me so I just get the the courage from my fans [to enter showbiz]," she shared.
The Japanese star recently visited the country for the promotions of her movie with Robin Padilla titled "Nilalang." She said that she is actually loving the Philippines so she might be coming back her more often and do more acting projects. "I love to come back to the Philippines more often. I like pictures so I like to be in magazines and like commercials and acting too. I need to be more better in my acting."
When asked if she has plans to go back to doing adult films again, she responded, "No, not right now."
Now that she is in the local entertainment industry, Maria said that she has learned a lot about the media and fame but she admitted that it is still very foreign for her. "[I learn] about the media, lots of media and lots of fans and walking somewhere over there, lots of people know me and that's really new to me," she said.
