After rumors surfaced regarding their break up, Angelica Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz proved to the public that they are still very much together.
John Lloyd celebrated his 32nd birthday last June 24 and the actress went straight to the set of “Home Sweetie Home” from her “Pangako Sa Yo” taping, just to celebrate his birthday.
She also posted a picture on Instagram of them together on John Lloyd’s special day saying, “I'll never get tired making you laugh. Happiest birthday my Love.”
In his interview for his “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode this Saturday, John Lloyd also said that they are very much okay and that they are ‘happy to be together.’
“Kahit na medyo working week ito for me, somehow we still managed na magkaroon ng oras para sa isa’t-isa,” he added.
John Lloyd also shared some details on his 32nd birthday celebration. He shared that it was just a typical day for his family and didn’t celebrate much.
When asked if he was ready to take his and Angelica’s relationship to the next level, the actor answered, “Di pa siguro... Siguro kasi, 'pag ilalagay ko na yung sarili ko dun, gusto ko buong buo na mai-ooffer ko sa magiging pamilya ko yung oras ko, 'yung dedication. Kasi, ayoko naman nung ikakasal ako ngayon, tapos next week, may schedule ako,’ he said.
As for the question about Angelica being wife material, John Lloyd simply said, “Oo naman, napaka swerte ng, kung hindi man ako, napaka swerte ng magiging mapapangasawa niya.”
Meanwhile, John Lloyd admitted he was disappointed when “Conman,” his upcoming movie by Erik Matti, was not able to get in the 8 official entries of the Metro Manila Film Festival this year.
“Di nga kami tinanggap ng MMFF, sayang, ang hinahanap ko rin dun is you know mabigyan din yung, mabigyan ng chance yung mga ganitong klaseng pelikula na mai-showcase rin sa ganung season. I believe yung MMFF is para sa lahat ng pelikula eh, hindi lang naman para sa siguradong blockbuster or tumatabo sa takilya,” he commented.
