Over the weekend, transgender model Geena Rocero shared the discrimination experienced by celebrity designer Veejay Floresca at the said club. According to her, Veejay was denied entry in the venue due to their No Crossdressing Policy.

Even LGBT advocate and host Boy Abunda aired his disgust over the incident via a statement posted on Ang Ladlad party list’s Facebook page.

“Discrimination is wrong, no matter how you view it. The Veejay Floresca incident is plain and simple discrimination. Between policies as opposed to human rights, I would scale on the human rights aspect. May patas na karapatan ang mga taong crossdresser at mga taong transgender na pumasok sa mga gugustuhin nilang pasukin dahil wala silang nilalabag na batas dahil lamang sa kanilang pamamaraan ng pananamit at kasariang pagkakakilanlan. There should also be no distinction between people who crossdress and transgender people. Both of them have the same basic human rights to express themselves according to the clothing that they wishes. I will try my best to air my commentary on Aquino and Abunda Tonight or to make my position public on this matter asap,” he said.
