Vanessa Matsunaga defends Erich Gonzales on bribing rumor: ‘We're not for sale’
061715-vanessa_main.jpgAfter Daniel Matsunaga admitted in a guest appearance earlier this month that he and Erich Gonzales were officially a couple, many did not know that he waited three years before committing to relationship again. Daniel's sister Vanessa said she's never seen her brother happier than he is right now. “Oo, siyempre. Daniel is a nice guy and he was praying really hard for God to open the doors for someone to be in his life and we really believe that the person is Erich,” she shared during the Robinson's Supermarket “I Love Wellness” event held last June 16 at Robinson's Place Magnolia in Quezon city.

The Brapanese model, who is now comfortable speaking in a mix of Tagalog and English, said she and her entire family are happy with Daniel's relationship with Erich. “Masaya ako for both of them. Masaya sila talaga and they really complement each other so well. I think the qualities that they both have, they're very similar. They're very God-fearing and they're very giving not just to the family but to anyone that comes their way,” she explained.

When asked if she felt closer to Erich than to Daniel's last girlfriend Heart Evangelista, Vanessa said every relationship is different. “I try as much as I can to be close to everyone and I've been close to both of them. Erich and I, we share the same birthday so meant to be!” she added.

She said she does not understand why some people started the malicious rumor that Erich was bribing her way into their family's hearts. “We're not for sale (laughs). That's how I feel, love is for free. Jesus Christ loved us first. I just think that people really have a creative mind and sometimes they don't use it for good. They really just want to use it for harm,” she said.
