The Philippines last representative on Asia’s Next Top Model, Monika Sta. Maria, got into the final 3 after tough competition from her Indonesian, Singaporean and Japanese counterparts.
After Ayu Gani of Indonesia received her award for Best Photo of the Week, Asia’s Next Top Model host Georgina Wilson called the 23-year-old to receive her picture. To be able to secure a spot in the Final 3, the challenge was to model trends from different decades. Monika got a ‘70s trend.
Monika is among the three models that represented the Philippines and is the last one left in the competition after Amanda Chan and Franchesca Lagua were eliminated from the competition.
The last contestant to secure a spot in the top 3 was Aimee Bradshaw of Singapore. Japan’s representative Barbara Katsuki was eliminated.
Monika was a former De La Salle University volleyball player before she heeded the call of the modelling world.
