Jed Madela: ‘We’re very happy with Melai (Cantiveros) winning the contest’

<div><img src='' alt='060915-jed_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Jed Madela remarked that they (the jury) are happy that comedian Melai Cantiveros bagged  the<i> Your Face Sounds Familiar</i> grand title. “I’m very happy with the results <i>naman</i>. We do all these things, the show is not just for us, the show of course is for the viewers and for the people and of course we're very happy [with] Melai winning the contest.<i> Lahat sila, lahat ng walong</i> contestants <i>na sumali </i>they are all amazing performers. They put their heart and soul in their number so <i>don kami bilib sa kanila.”</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Jed addressed the negative comments that surfaced online about the result. “They all have their opinion and they all have their own views and ever since episode one, the first weekend <i>ng Your Face Sounds Familiar, meron talagang mga komontra lagi.</i> But you know, it’s their right and it’s their opinion. We respect it of course, you just take it [with] a grain of salt, you know, it’s part of the job.”</div><div><br/></div><div>The singer said that he is honored to be one of the judges alongside Sharon Cuneta and Gary Valenciano. “I’m very honored na napili ako bilang isang judge, to be sitting beside the Megastar and Gary V. It's something that I’ve never ever dreamed [of], to be given that opportunity. I’m so happy and that experience I will never forget, you know, para kaming nagtatrabaho pero para ng hindi kasi we always look forward to every taping day. Good vibes lang lahat, masaya lang kaming lahat, walang pressure, walang stress. Basically the whole time<i> na nagta-tape kami at nagsho-shoot kami enjoy kaming lahat.”</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Now that there will be a second season, will he still be part of it? “Well, I hope so. I really hope na kami pa rin mga judges. It’s something that we really, really love doing. We hope and pray that we will be part of season 2.”</div><div><br/></div><div>If he could choose the contestants for the second season, Jed shared that he would be happy to see K Brosas and Erik Santos on the show. “I think I would like to see K Brosas, she’s an amazing entertainer, amazing singer, performer <i>talaga </i>and I like to see her in season 2 of <i>Your Face Sounds Familiar. Ewan ko kung pwede pero si</i> Erik Santos. <i>Si </i>Erik <i>kasi kasama ko sa ASAP, </i>seat mate<i> ko sa </i>dressing room and I always hear him mimic voices <i>so siguro</i> it will be interesting din.”</div>
