Alexa Ilacad shares she looks forward to going to college

The young actress is going to be an incoming fourth year high school student at the Christian Legacy home school program this coming semester.

Since last summer hindi ako nag-summer vacation actually and itong summer hindi rin ako nag-stop. Tinuloy tuloy ko siya para pag one day na may dumating na project na everyday ang taping hindi ako mahuli,” she said during her launch as the newest teen ambassador for BUM Equipment and their Black 2 School campaign held last May 28.

The 15-year-old actress joins Nash Aguas, Jane Oineza, and Ella Cruz in the clothing line family. “I'm very happy and very excited. I feel so blessed,” she said.

During the press conference, Alexa shared just how important being a good student was to her.

“Very important ang education at yun ang una kong priority before anything. I plan to take a business course or Accounting.

Being in a home school program like other celebrities, Alexa related she also wants to go to a regular school set-up which is what she looks forward to in college.

“Yes siyempre. Since I go to school every Friday, may mga classmates din ako.

The Kapamilya teen actress also weighed in on the Department of Education's proposed K to 12 Basic Education Program which they want to implement starting next year. “50-50 yung opinion ko dun eh. First, ayoko dahil nadagdagan yung pasok lalo na yung iba wala ng budget, ang dami pang mga year 11 and 12.  Pero the other half is maganda siya kasi after daw ng Grade 12, puwede ka na mag-work so parang may advantage at disadvantages din. So wala talaga akong definite na opinion,” she said.
