Foxy Moms: 10 Celebrity Moms and their Favorite Workouts

Being a mom (or a mom-to-be) is really an overwhelming undertaking.

Not only is motherhood time-consuming, albeit in a good way, it takes a lot of energy. However, despite being busy with their projects and respective families, certain celebrity moms have made sure to stay fit and healthy.

Push lists down 10 fit moms and their favorite workouts.

1. White Shirt Love: Vicki Belo
Taught by G-Force’s very own Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, White Shirt Love is a sensual dance class that’s originally designed to empower women and women-at-heart. The only requirement is to wear a loose white shirt in lass and to channel your inner sexiness in order to trim major problem areas like the belly, legs, and buttocks.
2. Tennis: Danica Sotto-Pingris
Although tennis has been more popular as an international sport that we can watch on TV, it has also long been deemed effective in shedding weight. It is said that the its explosive movements which involve speed, coordination, and flexibility, allows the body to stretch and improve the cardiovascular system.
3. Swimming: Bianca Gonzalez-Intal
As the weather gets warmer, more and more celebs opt to do their cardio while in the water and do swimming. Swimming as a cardiovascular exercise has been proven to be effective in toning muscles.
4. Boxing: Sunshine Cruz
While boxing has been largely tagged as a male activity, more and more women are now getting into it particularly because it involves various workouts in one session. A single session often involves up-tempo exercises such as jumping rope, calisthenics such as mountain climbers and burpees, and working on the heavy bag and shadowboxing. After that it is usually followed several rounds of sparring with one’s trainer.
5. High-Intensity Interval Training: Claudine Barretto
HIIT can sound a little daunting but it’s not really the case because it involves workout that alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed repetitions of less-intense activity and even complete rest.
6. Weight training: Aubrey Miles
Again, weight training has also long been known as a man’s workout but not these days as more and more women discover its benefits. Recent researches have proven that contrary to popular belief, weight training doesn’t only build the muscle but actually helps in losing more fat.
7. Anti-Gravity Yoga: Gretchen Barretto
There’s really something about us humans wanting to fly which is probably why anti-gravity yoga or aerial yoga was created in the first place. Designed by Christopher Harrison, AGY helps improve one’s core strength and release body tension by combining elements of dance, Pilates and calisthenics with different yoga poses.
8. Circuit Training: Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo
The beauty of circuit training lies in the fact that that it eases out boredom in a flash by moving quickly from one exercise to the next. Circuit training that combines cardio and strength moves will not only blast fat but also sculpt your muscles.
9. Triathlon: Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan
Triathlon is not really a workout. Rather it’s a multi-stage competition involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance activities. They are biking, running, and swimming. Maricel has done them all and even participated in Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Cebu last year.
10. Zumba: Ina Raymundo
Zumba could very well be considered as a popular mommy workout these days. It’s basically a Latin-inspired dance routine that combines several other dance genres like hip-hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, belly dancing, and even martial arts.
