As she marks her 32nd anniversary in showbiz, Zsa Zsa Padilla said that this year is also special because she wants to celebrate all the changes in her life. Her schedule is busy with a new album and an upcoming concert of the same name called “Beginnings.” The Divine Diva turned 51 last May 28 which she considers a big milestone in her life. “When I turned 50 kasi I was just so happy that I found somebody. This is another chapter in my life and I'm just happy. You ask yourself a lot of questions and you have some sort of birthday blues. I kind of was having three bad days. Thank God after three days it was over. There's so much to be thankful for,” she shared during her Beginnings anniversary concert press conference held last May 27 at Passion restaurant in Resorts World Manila.
Zsa Zsa admitted she already has an idea of what she wants her dream house to look like, but is not true that her architect boyfriend Conrad Onglao has already started building it for her. “There's none, but it's something that I wish for in the future for us. But it's not to make things grander. I think that in life I've already been lucky enough to experience material stuff like that. I just want to go back to the basics. And I keep telling him, 'You know when I get older I'm just going to wear black, white and maybe just one more color that I love which is pink. I'm going to make everything simple. 'Actually I have no birthday wish (laughs). I think at this point in your life you're more about downgrading, trying to buy less clothes. I'm planning these things, having to live in a smaller house more manageable for you. My house in Marina is huge but in the future… kasi someone asked me there's this rumor that he's building a dream house for me. I said, 'I said wait a minute ha, my dream house is a bungalow. It's a two-bedroom bungalow.' Since we had five kids in between us, his two boys and my three girls, I said there should be one room in case they need to be with us but one at a time and they don't stay there for long ha (laughs),” she shared.
Having married at an early age, Zsa Zsa said she finds comfort in going back to her humble beginnings and wants to put some of those familiar aspects into her dream home. “Sabi ko that's all I want and I also want a garden because we both love plants but it's going back to how you were when you were starting. I remember when I was first married at 16, I was in an apartment. Everything was just right ‘di ba? And the very first condo that we purchased together was a two-bedroom condo. I realize that as you get older you go back to how it was for you,” she admitted.
When asked if she would be walking down the aisle anytime soon, Zsa Zsa said no plans but things are looking good. “Not yet. Maybe getting there, I don't know (laughs). I think it will come in due time. Everybody's wishing that for me but you know it has to come at the right time,” she added.
Even if she were to get married again, Zsa Zsa said she feels her kids would not be against it. “Oo naman. But I don't know, I haven't asked anybody (laughs). I haven't really asked my kids about it but you know they have so much love and respect for me that they just want to see me happy,” she said.
Zsa Zsa even admitted she considered adopting another child before she met Conrad, but now she is content with what she has. “No more na (adoption). You know I really considered that when I was by myself, 'Okay, You're lonely' but it's a lot of responsibility,” she added.
Becoming a grandmother is something Zsa Zsa is prepared for even though she is not holding her breath for it just yet. “I'm really just waiting for my apos (laughs). To spoil my apo is something that I'm really waiting to do but my candidate isn't ready yet (laughs). I would just drop questions but I don't want to pressure her because I already felt that before when I see Karylle and Zia they are ten years apart and with Zia I really had a hard time already getting pregnant. So when I had my monthlies I would be crying. There's just so much pressure for me for two whole years,” he recalled.
