During her Kris TV guesting today, May 20, Maja Salvador shared her thoughts about her failed relationship with Gerald Anderson.
When asked if she has regrets, the actress said if she did think of the risks back then, she probably would have chosen a different path.
“Siyempre di mo naman maibabalik ang kahapon. Sa mga nangyari, wala naman ako nireregret. Nagmahal din naman ako ‘di ba. Pero kung iisipin ko na ‘di ako masasaktan, ‘di masasaktan yung kaibigan ko, ‘di siya masasaktan, kung may choices noon, siguro lilihis ako. Pero di ako pwede magregret kasi naging masaya naman ako,” Maja said, even mentioning her friendship with Kim Chiu.
When host Kris Aquino said she is thankful Maja mentioned the friendship, the Bridges of Love star said, “Parang meron ngang tinanong na anong masasabi mo concerned siya sa iyo, sabi ko siyempre bandang huli naman, hindi mo maiiwasan na naging magkaibigan kami, hindi mawawala yung pagka-concern naming sa isa’t isa.”
Maja added that she took a risk getting into a relationship with Gerald.
“Siyempre kung me pagbabadya naman pero wala eh. Pero at least tinake ko yung risk tapos pagkatapos nun, ayun.”
On the topic of dating again, Maja said she’s only ready to have a textmate.
“Ready ako makipag-text. Kahit naman may magyaya wala ring chance eh,” referring to her busy schedule of promoting her movie You’re Still The One, her new album and taping for her teleserye.
When Kris mentioned her Bridges co-star Paulo Avelino, Kris TV guest host Isabelle Daza said Maja’s next boyfriend could be a non-showbiz person, even a foreigner like her fiancé, Adrien Semblat.
Maja then related that her You’re Still The One co-star Ina Raymundo also mentioned this to her. Ina is married to Canadian businessman Brian Poturnak.
Maja said she is open to the idea and shared that her ideal man has to be, “Marespeto, mabait sa pamilya. May sense kausap.”
On falling in love again, Maja mentioned someone asking her about this during her In Love album presscon.
“May nagtanong kung ayoko na bang umibig, sabi ko di ah sarap kaya umibig.”
