Premiere dance group G-Force took summer camping to new heights with the G-Force Project 2015’s Summer Dance Glamping.
For almost eight years now, G-Force has been staging their dance workshop classes for those who want to learn how to dance like the fierce crew.
“This year meron kaming extra activity na parang part ito ng celebration naming at gift narin sa mga students namin. This year we are doing dance glamping. If you have a dance camp na ina-attendan this is different. This is a glamorous camping. So kung sa camp ninyo may pabilisan [ng paggawa] ng tent dito ay paggandahan ng tent,” explained G-Force’s founder Georcelle Dapat-Sy in a recent interview with Push.
Apart from the actual dance classes, this year’s G-Force project participants will also be able to experience one-of-a-kind bonfire event.
“We will be dancing under the stars and the students will be trained to really work with a team para ihanda sila sa MOA performances nila,” she added.
After all the students have completed their classes, they will have an option to join the project-wide recitals which is happening at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 26.
But more than training them to dance, Teacher Georcelle, as she is fondly called in the industry, stressed that the project really aims to improve the person as a whole.
“Ang maganda pa dito, this will not only hone the skills of the students sa pagsasayaw kung di ‘it will really build your character. Matutulungan talaga ‘yung mga estudyante na matulungan na magkaroon ng personal development. Marami kaming activities na mag-e-enjoy sila at siyempre kasama nila ang G-Force at ang iba naming celeb friends,” she explained.
Apart from the recitals and the bonfire, students from the Metro can also look forward to mingling with other students from different provinces as G-Force Project 2015 has also gone regional.
“Matagal na talaga naming plano ‘yun talagang hindi lang na-a-allow ng schedule dahil nga sa mga pa-concert. But that’s a good problem. But this time talagang pi-nush naming na matuloy bilang celebration nga, ang dami rin kasing nag-re-request,” she said. “It’s part of our celebration ng G-Force. We have Cebu. We have Albay. We have Iloilo. We have Batangas. ‘Yan ang mga pupuntahan naming at lahat ‘yan magkikita kita yan sa Glamping.”
This year, G-Force will be celebrating their 10th year anniversary as a group and according to Teacher Georcelle they intend to commemorate it with a bang.
“Glamping is the workshop’s highlight and of course Mall of Asia Arena. But the highlight talaga of our 10th year talaga is the movie that we’re doing,” she revealed.
According to her it will come out by the end of the year and will be co-presented by Meg magazine and directed by Mike Carandang.
What will be the movie’s plot?
“It’s about G-Force, our journey. Paano kami nakaabot sa sampung taon. Ano ba ang struggles ng mga dancers. It’s really our story na mami-mirror narin dito ang stories ng iba pang mananayaw dito sa Pilipinas,” she ended,
Enrollment is currently ongoing for their second batch and it can be completed either by visiting their office or through their official website www.gforceofficial.com
