Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao may have failed to win over American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. during their Fight of the Century in Las Vegas, but he never allowed it to dampen his spirits.
Manny returned to Manila early morning of Wednesday, May 13, and was warmly welcomed by the public during a motorcade in Makati and in Manila. After which the Saranggani congressman headed to Malacañang for a courtesy call to President Noynoy Aquino.
This was followed by several appearances on other shows including some at the Kapamilya network.
Early in the evening Pacman arrived inside the ELJ building and was welcomed by ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio and Chief Operating Officer Carlo Katigbak.
Manny was able to view the music video of the song that Yeng Constantino created and performed with rapper Quest titled “Battle for Greatness” during the welcome dinner organized for him by the network.
He was also able to witness the Kapamilya campaign called “Isang Bayan Para kay Pacman” which was able to garner some 126 million “punches” in support of the pound-for-pound champion.
Before he left the Kapamilya network, Pacman was handed a commemorative plaque for the Isang Bayan Para kay Pacman campaign.
However, as host Dyan Castillejo revealed early during the program, Manny apparently revealed that the term retirement has recently crossed his mind.
But just before he left Manny clarified that he would continue boxing.
In end the end, the boxer-politician reiterated that his milestones are not only his.
