Peabo Bryson considers Rachelle Ann Go as Lea Salonga’s ‘rival’

<div><img src='' alt='051315-peabo_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Sa <i>Aquino and Abunda Tonight,</i> pinuri ni American R&B and soul singer-songwriter Peabo Bryson si Lea Salonga at sinabi nito na, “she has the loveliest voice and she is the loveliest human being.” Nakatrabaho ni Peabo si Lea sa ilang duets at ayon kay Peabo meron silang duet na nag-top sa music chart “for almost a year.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Sinabi rin ni Peabo na “rival” ni Lea si Rachelle Ann Go. “Very talented” diumano si Rachelle katulad ni Lea. Dagdag pa niya, “if she were to learn anything from anybody, Lea will be the person to do that.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Pinuri rin ni Peabo ang mga Pinoy. Ayon sa kanya, “Philippines has a wealth of talent (and) the world is just beginning to understand how deeply it goes.” Ayon pa kay Peabo, kaya mahal ng mga Pinoy si Manny Pacquiao ay dahil, “he is Filipino and he represents this country as well as anybody can.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Ang pag-perform ni Peabo ng duets ay hindi parte ng kanyang career plan. Nangyari na lang ito nang hanapin siya ni Roberta Flack, dahil nagkaroon ng health problems ang ka-duet dapat nito. Ang pumili diumano ng kanta nila ni Roberta na “Tonight I celebrate My Love” ay si Roberta. Dagdag pa ni Peabo, “I didn’t like it.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Kapag pumipili naman ng kanta si Peabo, isang batayan niya ay, “it has to be felt because you’re telling a story.” Sinabi rin ni Peabo na, “singing is all about controlling air” at madali lang daw ito  “when you understand the basic principles of it.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Isang paraan ni Peabo ng pag-alaga ng boses niya ay pagtakbo.
