Salbakuta, the Filipino hip-hop group behind the hit song “S2pid Love” is now gearing up for a comeback. In an interview with Push.com.ph, the group relayed that a new album is now on the works. “’Yun nagwo-work kami ngayon sa bagong album,” group member Mad Killah said.
Group member Charlie Mack shared that they are doing their best to produce a song that would be as big as their old record “S2pid Love”. “Ginagawa talaga namin ang lahat ng way para malampasan ang kanta na ‘yon. Mahirap talaga malampaan ang monster hit so gumagawa pa rin kami ng kanta para sa ganon matabunan na ang kantang ‘yun at makagawa kami ng isang song na magiging kasing laki non,” he said.
Salbakuta remarked that they have grown over the years as artists despite their hiatus from the music scene. “Nag-grow kami as artists, marami kaming natutunan, may ups and downs and at the same time may mga totoong kaibigan sa paligid at may mga sumusuporta at tsaka medyo matured na ang music,” Mad Killah stated.
During their absence from the music industry, they have been busy with their respective businesses especially Charlie Mack. He shared, “Naging abala rin naman kami. Siguro wala lang kaming limelight sa TV pero at the same time meron kaming mga shows out of town and may business.”
They hope to collaborate with various OPM artists now that they are working on a new record. “Marami naman kaming artists na kaibigan na puwede mag-collaborate nakahanda na ‘yung mga taong iyon so siguro pag-ready na,” Mad Killah said.
On his message for their fans who continually support them over the years, Charlie Mack said, “Sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta at mga kaibigan namin na nagmamahal sa amin sa new Salbakuta, kay Charlie Mak and Mad Killah, salamat sa suporta at sana tangkilikin niyo ang mga bago naming kanta.”
