EXCLUSIVE: Michelle Vito on Liza Soberano: ‘Hindi siya nagbago’
042815-michelle1_main.jpgAs part of the upcoming primetime bida series Someone To Watch Over Me, Michelle Vito said she is excited to be working on a project with Judy Ann Santos and Richard Yap. “Siyempre I'm super happy kasi ilang months lang ako nawala and may bago na namang show. Masaya ako nung makita ko kung sino yung makaka-work ko na si Miss Juday at si sir Richard, halos lahat. Si Tito Eddie Garcia and si Paolo (Angeles) pa lang yung nakaka-work ko sa Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon. Masayang masaya ako na may matututunan na naman akong bago. Parang yung naramdaman ko kay Ate Bea (Alonzo) before. Parang bumalik yung feeling nung nalaman ko si Miss Juday yung makaka-work ko. But siyempre pinaghahandaan namin. Meron kaming acting workshop ngayon so pini-prepare kami. Ito naman talaga yung gusto ko na mag-acting so talagang pinagbubutihan ko talaga,” she told Push.com.ph.

In the series, Michelle plays the neighbor of Juday. “Ako dito si Amy, galing ako sa province and then lumipat ako sa Manila tapos nakilala ko yung anak ni Miss Juday and then naging magkaibigan kami. Mahilig kasi ako sa aso. Sila yung may alaga kay Kuya so yun. Yung daddy ko kasi seaman tapos yung mommy ko stewardess so ako pupunta Manila para mag-aral and then magiging kapitbahay ko sila Miss Juday and then yung anak niya. Busy kasi sa trabaho si Miss Juday so naiiwan yung anak niya sa bahay lang mag-isa and sila yung parang nag-aalaga kay Kuya, yung aso. Ako din mahilig sa aso so yung anak niya naging close kami. So dun mag-sa-start yun,” she explained.

Michelle also admitted she is happy to be paired with Paolo Angeles in their new project. “Ang ka-partner ko talaga sa Sana Bukas si Francis Magundayao and then pumasok si Paolo para makigulo lang, ganyan. Masaya ako siyempre kasi super bait ni Paolo eh. Comfortable ako sa kanya and masaya siya kasama. For me cute siya and walang mata pag tumatawa (laughs). One thing na maganda sa kanya talaga is yung personality niya kasi super bait, magalang, and gusto ko sa isang tao yung malapit sa parents. Kasi parang well-mannered,” she shared.

042815-michelle1_main.jpgNow a college student, Michelle said she is balancing school and showbiz commitments. “May pasok ako ng Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday taking up Business Administration major in Human Resource Management sa College of St. Benilde. Pumapasok ako and then pag may schedule na mall show. Kasi gusto ko talaga ma-involve sa business. Pinaka-gusto ko talaga Business Management kaso sa CSB for working students lang kaya kumuha pa rin ako nung related sa business,” she said.

The Star Magic artist said she loves being a student again. “Sobrang saya. Ibang iba yung kapag nandito ka sa loob ng industry natin, sa loob ng ABS-CBN kapag nagtratrabaho ka kesa pag nasa school ka. Yung parang normal ka lang na student. Parang bagong environment sa akin kasi nag-home schooling ako nung third and fourth year so na-miss ko yung pumapasok ako sa talagang campus at may schedule ako na kailangan ko gawin. Masaya super!” she added.

Even when she gets recognized in school, Michelle said there is no special treatment just because she is a celebrity. “Hindi. Parang normal lang. Ayoko din na maiba yung trato sa akin na parang ang tingin nila sa akin artista ako kasi iba yung magiging arte nila sa akin eh. So masaya kasi tingin nila sa akin normal lang na kaklase nila. Normal student lang ako,” she said.

After being launched as part of Star Magic Circle batch 2013 with Liza Soberano, the two have become best buddies and even their parents became friends. But now that they are both busy with different projects, Michelle admitted it has been hard to find the time to hang out. “Si Liza miss na miss ko na. Last year ko pa siya nakasama last year nung umakyat ako sa Baguio para bisitahin siya. Naghihintay ako sa taping nila. Sumusunod ako sa set niya. Pero ngayon talaga wala kaming time para magkita,” she recalled. Even after Liza rose to fame with Forevermore, the 17-year-old actress said her BFF has not changed. “Hindi, si Liza pa din yun. Pagod siya kasi parang everyday yung taping nila eh. Pero nag-te-text sa akin si Liza, ganyan and nag-ti-tweet, comment at like siya. So hindi siya nagbago talaga. Sweet pa rin siya,” she explained.
