Baron Geisler says he hopes that a ‘Tabing Ilog’ remake pushes through.
Baron Geisler shared that he is enjoying his current stint on Kapamilya Deal or No Deal
as one of its Lucky Stars
. Being part of a game show is something new for Baron who admitted he had difficulties adjusting initially.
“I think mas kinakabahan ako sa game show kaysa sa pag-arte. But it feels really great because aside from the game, I get to bond with all these great people, all these great artists. And you know I get to hang out also with our magaling na host na si Lucky Manzano na sobrang witty and I’m learning a lot from them, they’re all witty so natutuwa ako,” he said.
After being embroiled in controversies for the past years, Baron is back to acting and is currently working on an international movie which will be released on iTunes. “February 22 we will be screening sa NCAA building sa Intramuros and then ‘yun it will be out sa iTunes, it’s called Waves, it’s an international film, it’s a love story, romantic drama.”
The actor said that he plays the good guy in the movie which is far different from the previous characters he played. “I play the good guy this time so it’s very different kasi usually people know me as the kontrabida, the villain but this time people will see a different side of Baron, puso ni Baron Geisler,” he stated.
Baron rose to stardom after starring in the series Tabing Ilog during the late ‘90s. With old TV series like Pangako Sa ’Yo being remade these days, Barron said that he is open to the idea of a Tabing Ilog remake. “You know what, I’m hearing that for a very long time na magka-reunion or magka-remake I hope it happens,” he said.
He added that he would be willing to be part of the remake if it happens. “If ever it pushes through, game ako, I’ll go for it not because for work but to bond again with these old friends and also to reminisce and to parang show people na kahit papaano, mga bata pa kami noon, mga immature pa, this time siguro mas mature na ‘yung pakikibaka namin sa buhay.”
