Luis Manzano just shrugged off reports that his returning show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal was supposedly offered to his dad, Edu Manzano first.
“Hindi po. But, I wouldn’t be surprised kasi siguro kahit tanggalin mo ‘yung last name namin na both Manzano. Me as Luis and he as Edu as a host. Kung kinukuha siya prior sa akin I wouldn’t be surprised,” he stressed during the press conference of the new season of Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.
Luis even presumed that, if it was really offered to his Dad, he may have turned it down. “Baka kasi busy lang si Daddy or baka may conflict kaya binigay Sa akin. Okay lang sa akin ‘yun.”
It was early last December when reports of his father coming back to ABS-CBN made the rounds.
This was also confirmed by Luis saying that, “Yes. Kung hindi ako nagkakamali ang ginagawa niya ay isang serye ang Bridges of Love. I believe so.” Bridges of Love also stars Maja Salvador, Jericho Rosales, and Paulo Avelino. Apart from a teleserye, Edu earlier announced that he’s also currently working on a movie for the Kapamilya network.
Meanwhile, Luis who is returning for a new star-studded season of KDND said that the said show is his baby, especially since it was his first solo hosting project in 2010.
Even after hosting more shows like Minute to Win it, The Voice Kids and now The Voice of the Philippines Season 2, Luis admitted that he still has to do a lot more polishing of his hosting skills.
“Weakness ko naman admittedly ay ‘yung mga malalim na tagalog words lalo na ‘yung mga nado-doble. Ayon, ‘yun ang kahinaan ko. Si Toni [Gonzaga] ang malakas doon kapag binabasa namin halimbawa ‘yung The Voice script siya ang doon,” he shared.
