The actress said she felt stressed with the wedding preparations.
Today on Kris TV
, Cristine Reyes and her fiancé Ali Khatibi told Kris Aquino the reason behind the postponement of their wedding. Cristine and Ali were supposed to have a garden wedding this December but instead they moved their intimate wedding to January 2016 in Balesin.
“Kasi ganito yan, super excited ako na ikakasal na kami and then nangyari ‘yung wedding planning na-stress ako sa planning. Work sabay ‘yung teleserye kasabay ko ‘yung construction ng bahay tapos eto pa. Pag nag we-wedding plan pala ang daming kailangan puntahan, ang daming kailangan mag decide kami together, gusto ko kasama ko siya (Ali) lagi eh, ang daming times na ang dami din niyang ginagawa,” Crisine said.
She added she felt she needed more time to prepare.
“Parang feeling ko hindi pa time na magkasal tayo sobrang pressed for time. Preparation lang namin 2 months.”
Cristine said that Ali’s mom and sibling would also be present at their wedding while her sisters Kat and Harvey will be representing her family.
The actress told Kris that she was the one who chose Balesin for their wedding venue.
“Me kasi dapat dun yung prenup namin so sabi ko tuloy nalang natin. Yeah [doon ‘yung pictorial] for the wedding dapat eh bayad na yun, dalhin nalang natin dun sila pastor tapos doon na tayo magpakasal at least ‘di ba kaysa naman somewhere here na very normal, at least gusto naman talaga niya (Ali) beach eh,” Cristine said.
When asked if they already have an outfit in mind, Cristine answered, “Ako gusto ko slippers and dress lang.”
“Parang gusto namin laidback kasi originally yung gusto namin talaga sa garden lang ng house eh yung house namin hindi natapos on time. So ayun, ‘yun talaga ‘yung plano eh backyard wedding,” she added.
The couple also opened up about their old relationships. Before settling down with Cristine, Ali had a long-term relationship with a non-showbiz woman.
After 10 months of not talking, Cristine was the first who contacted Ali and asked if she could come over and see him.
“She went to Zambales ang layo, I was telling her not to go na kasi ang layo she was tired from work sabi niya ‘No’ she really wanted to see me daw. Sweet grabe,” Ali shared.
When asked when he realized that Cristine was ‘the one,’ he answered, “I guess we’re really similar. Siguro personality talagang nag click kami. Sobrang kulit ni Cristine kasi so when I’m with iba, talagang I’m happy there’s no dull moment, sobrang spontaneous.”
