Dan Fernandez files House Resolution to have Honor Thy Father's MMFF disqualification investigated

122815-mmff1_PUSH.jpgNatuloy ang pagpa-file ni Laguna Congressman Dan Fernandez ng resolution kahapon (Dec. 28) sa House of Representatives directing the committee on Metro Manila Development Authority to conduct an inquiry, in aid of legislation on the disqualification of the film Honor Thy Father from the selection in the Best Picture category sa 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival.

“The notice was served to me less than 24 hours prior to the awards night kaya wala kaming chance para mag-file ng appeal for reconsideration for the disqualification,” sabi pa ni Dondon.

“Fortunately nga, involved ako sa movie kaya nakita ko how hard it was done.

“Nakita natin ang hirap na ginawa para sa movie, nakita ko ’yung injustice perpetrated sa producer, being a public servant, as a Congressman, we have power in Congress, this oversight power to investigate para sa kabutihan ng bawat issue sa bansang Pilipinas, I think, it’s my responsibility as a congressman, not as an actor, but probably as an actor as well, pero as congressman, to hear this problem.

“There are some allegations, anomalies that were committed. And I think it is my bound duty to investigate this matter,” paliwanag pa ng kongresista.
