Antoinette Jadaone addresses speculations that ‘All You Need Is Pag-Ibig’ is like ‘24/7 In Love’

122515-jadaone_main.jpgAll You Need is Pag-Ibig director Antoinette Jadaone finally addressed speculations that the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry featuring different love stories and an ensemble cast is similar to the 2012 Star Cinema movie 24/7 In Love and the 2003 Hollywood film Love Actually.

In her interview with PUSH.com.ph , Direk Tonette exp lained how All You Need is Pag-Ibig is similar and at the same time, different from the two movies, “It’s very similar because it’s a love story. It’s a collection of love stories but it is different because these are very different kinds of love that we have in the film.”

“I believe naman kasi all love stories have already been written, all characters have already been written: rich girl, poor boy, nanghihingi ng pag-ibig, tumatakbo sa love, ganyan, pero magkakatalo diyan, how you tell those stories. How you portray those characters,” she said, adding that this movie has a refreshing take on love.

“It just seems similar to other love stories kasi it’s a romantic comedy, it’s also a love story, it’s an ensemble cast. Hindi naman porke’t ensemble cast na, parang ganoon na rin. In the same way na hindi naman porke ganito ‘yung premise ng isang pelikula eh parang ginaya na agad siya,” Direk Tonette said.

Moreover, the “Ultimate Hugot Director” said that she thinks they were able to make a different love story this time through this movie.

Set to hit the theaters on December 25, Star Cinema’s All You Need is Pag-Ibig stars Kris Aquino, Bimby Aquino Yap, Derek Ramsay, Pokwang, Talia and Julia Concio, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion, among others.
