Charlene Gonzales says Pia Wurtzbach has what it takes to be Miss Universe and shared an old post of hers on Instagram as proof.
Former beauty queen Charlene Gonzales took to Instagram to prove that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has what it takes to be the Miss Universe. Charlene shared an old post of hers before Pia won the crown.
After Pia’s interview with Charlene on The Buzz a couple of years ago, she posted a message for the former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, who motivated her to join Bb. Pilipinas again. It took Pia three attempts in the pageant before winning the title of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe.
“Hi Ms Charlene! I'm not sure if you remember me but in 2013 we, the Bb Pilipinas winners of that year, had an interview with you in The Buzz. I remember you spoke to me backstage after & said that I should try again because the 1st runner up of your year also joined again & eventually got the Bb Pilipinas Universe title. I followed your advice & joined last year. Unfortunately did not make it to top 7 but then I tried again for the 3rd time this year & I finally won! I'd just like to say a big thank you for inspiring me to join again. You were the 1st Bb Pilipinas that I saw on TV as a kid. I remember it so vividly, after you won I tried to walk around the living room & tried to answer Q&A questions thrown by my mom. Anyway thank you so much. You're my first beauty queen idol & you're still one of my favorites! After the interview I saw your photo on the halls of ABSCBN, just outside our dressing room. I tried to take a photo of it when one of the staff members of The Buzz said "Bakit yan ang pinipicturan mo? Magpapicture ka nalang sa kanya. Halika sasamahan kita" and I said "OMG pwede ba? Sige po!" After we took this photo I went back to the dressing room and I was tearing up. Ara even saw it ?? Yun lang po, I'm really a fan.” Pia said.
Charlene answered her and said that she gave her encouragement because she saw that she deserves to win the title and she can represent the Philippines.
