Gloria said, “42 years, that's a long time. Three kids after. It’s amazing. Her dress was awesome. Albert Andrada, you’re great.”
Margie, on the other hand said, “I was watching with excitement until the very end. I felt sorry for both candidates and for Ms. Philippines. Her glory was stolen from that moment. She didn't even get to walk down the aisle. Nevertheless, she won. I think it would take time before we forget what really happened and we’ll focus on who the real winner is.”
Gloria said she feels how Pia won the crown will always be remembered. “It will always be remembered. Double enjoy kasi okay na naging first runner up, mas okay pa naging Ms. Universe di ba?”
The two beauty queens also lauded the way Pia answered the pageant questions. Margie said, “She answered very well. She’s very confident. A very good review, I think, for her personality.”
Gloria, although she generally liked Pia’s answers, preferred the second to the first. “The first answer was for me easy, playing to the Americans. That's fine of course. I love America, take me with you, but the second answer was really very inspired and I think that’s what clicked.”
Gloria also thinks the host Steve Harvey should be liable for his mistake. Steve first announced Miss Colombia as Miss Universe instead of Pia, who is the rightful winner of the 2015 Miss Universe crown. “He should pay a fine. A hundred thousand dollars, right? To both to Miss Colombia and to Miss Universe for the faux pas. Kind of my heart went out to Miss Colombia, (I) can’t imagine taking off the crown and putting it on somebody else. Only the Philippines.”
