Billy Crawford revealed that his new album is already in the works and will be released next year. “For me I miss performing again so hopefully I could go back and finish my album. Next year [ire-release],” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.
Billy, who last released an EP in 2013, relayed that the album contains tracks of various styles and genres. “[It contains] definitely a bunch of songs that we have done a while back, reinvented and some new stuff as well. It’s a hip hop, R&B, pop, dance. It’s pretty much a mixture with a bunch of stuff,” he shared.
With a new album, did he reinvent himself as an artist for this new record? “Hindi naman. Siguro older, wiser and ‘yun lang so I think how do you say this, more humble.”
Besides his successful hosting career this 2015, Billy was also given the opportunity to be part of the movie A Second Chance which achieved record-breaking sales in the box-office and is now the no.1 grossing movie in Philippine film history. Billy remarked that though he felt pressured acting with its main stars John Llloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, he totally had an amazing time working in the film.
“Alam mo tinawagan nga lang ako ni direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina) sabi nya ‘O ano pwede ka bang mag cameo?’ Sabi ko sure. Si direk Cathy naman wala naman akong problem tapos si John Lloyd pa fellow Kanto Boy. It’s definitely a fun experience to work with him. Nakaka-pressure actually. It’s really intimidating to be with the likes of Ms. Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz and everyone included in the cast of A Second Chance but just being there, its’ definitely a great time.”
Is he open to star in more acting projects next year? “I don’t know about that. It depends siguro if it’s being offered,” he replied.
