On Tonight with Boy Abunda
, Lani Misalucha reacted to reports pitting her once again with Regine Velasquez.
The rivalry between the two songstresses have been rekindled as the venue of Regine’s last concert, is also the venue of Lani’s upcoming show.
Lani denied any competition between her and Regine and said it was her producer who does the booking of her concert venues. “Hindi ko alam kung sino ang naunang mag
-schedule dahil sa
Star Media ang aking
producer, di ko alam kung
, it doesn’t matter, what’s important is, lahat kami may trabaho!
When asked by Boy Abunda si she keeps track of Regine’s concerts, Lani replied, “No, not really. Ang problema lang kasi minsan nga ganyan, may mga sunod-sunod
[na show], siyempre mahahati naman din yung ano
[manonood], but then again, it’s just a good thing that we have shows.”
As to what her fans can expect from her concert, Lani said, “Actually parang
continuation ito n
g series ko
in the US yung
‘The Voice of the Nightingale with Arnel Pineda
On whether or not this rivalry between her and Regine affect their friendship, Lani shared, “Hindi naman
. Actually we work together, we did a lot of shows together, ang ano lang talaga niyan kasi sa lahat naman ng industriya ma pa sa
corporate world, there will always be (competition) at saka yung laging pinagko-compete.
On a lighter note, this coming Friday, December 4, is Lani Misalucha Day in Las Vegas. This is as per the declaration of Mayor Oscar Goodman in 2009.
“Actually kapag mayroong special na nangyayari o bago o kakaiba sa
Las Vegas naa-acknowledge yun ng
county. Tapos siguro, dahil Pilipina ako, at tapos na
g-headline ako doon, nabigyan ako ng
Lani Misalucha Day which is December 4. Pero yun lang yun, nakatala lang yun sa kanilang
record and that’s it,” Lani humbly said.
