Jodi Sta. Maria’s advice for lonely hearts: ‘Love is the source of everything’

Maria did admit that she is currently content with her relationship with her actor-politician boyfriend Jolo Revilla. 'Masaya ako. Thank you,” was all she would admit to the press during the grand press conference for her upcoming MMFF film <i>All You Need is Pag-ibig</i> at the Dolphy theater inside ABS-CBN.</div><div><br/></div><div>The 33-year-old actress shared that people should be inspired by love regardless if they are single or not. <i>'Kasi </i>I believe that love is the source of everything that we do. <i>Kung may mga bagay tayo na</i> motivated by love, then everything will not be a chore. <i>Hindi siya parang magiging mahirap</i> for us but <i>magagawa siya natin ng magaan at ng masaya</i> so that’s what I believe in,” she explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>In her new film, Jodi is once again paired with her <i>Pangako Sa ‘Yo </i>leading man Ian Veneracion. She said the film will be a good break from the heavy drama they usually do on Primetime TV. '<i>Siguro mas</i> light compared dun <i>sa napapanuod nila tuwing gabi</i> and <i>yung story kasi namin ni </i>Ian<i> dito parang</i> he’s just trying to move on from a broken heart and then <i>parang</i> boss <i>ko kasi siya so ako parang may</i> longtime crush <i>sa kanya pero alam kong hanggang dun lang yun</i>. Never <i>ko naman</i> i-e-expect <i>na mag-le</i>-level up or anything,” she explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>Although many have commented on her strong chemistry with Ian onscreen, Jodi said it is their off-screen friendship that is the reason for their undeniable “kilig” which has even earned them the love team name of “Jodian.” '<i>Siguro lang dahil </i>we enjoy working with each other and I believe<i> dahil dun, yung</i> joy of working with each other <i>parang na-</i>ta-translate<i> siya sa ginagawa namin. Pero </i>never <i>naman naming inisip kasi yun nga yung lagi naming dini-</i>discuss, <i>sabi ko, ‘Ang </i>love team <i>pangbata lang yan eh. Puwede ba yung sa atin</i> partnership?’ (laughs) <i>Kasi di ba pag</i> love team<i> parang pang-</i>teenybopper? <i>Eh ang tanda na namin,</i>” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Jodi also admitted she is lucky to be paired with an attractive actor. “<i>Alam mo sinabi ko nga</i> <i>nag</i>-mall show <i>kami parang </i>two weeks ago, <i>sinabi ko talaga sa mga tao na in-</i>appreciate<i> ko yung kanyang kagandahan bilang lalake. Kasi guwapo naman talaga siya eh,</i>” she added.</div><div><br/></div><div>For those spending this Christmas alone or are brokenhearted, the <i>All You Need is Pag-Ibig </i>actress gave words of comfort that she hopes can help them appreciate life more. 'I think there is nothing wrong <i>sa pagiging malulungkot </i>because all emotions are valid and it is something that we have to acknowledge. But I would also want to encourage everyone that even our sorrow and our pains are transitory. They’re not permanent. So it’s something na lilipas din. We should only be able to help ourselves also to move on from that. <i>Kailangan din tulungan din natin ang ating mga sarili natin</i>. And every pain and every sorrow that we feel <i>meron silang</i> purpose. <i>Yun lang.</i> I believe that we should always surround ourselves with people that will uplift our spirits and we should always pray to the Lord to help us. Never stop praying in all circumstances. We pray and give thanks,” she said.</div><div><br/></div>
