‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ season 1 finalists: Where are they now?

On Sunday, December 13, we will finally get to know who among the top five—Denise Laurel, KZ Tandingan, Kean Cipriano, Michael Pangilinan and Sam Concepcion—will be hailed the next Your Face Sounds Familiar grand winner.

But before that, let us recall first the first batch of Your Face grand finalists. Where are Melai Cantiveros, Edgar Allan Guzman, JayR and Nyoy Volante now?

1. Melai Cantiveros

As the grand winner of the very first season of Your Face Sounds Familiar, Melai Cantiveros won P2 million of which half went to her chosen charity.

Joining Your Face has definitely boosted her popularity as she was eventually absorbed into the second season of the impersonation contest as Billy Crawford’s quirky co-host. Through hosting Your Face season 2, Melai continued transforming into music icons.

2. Edgar Allan Guzman

Joining Your Face was definitely a big career move for Edgar Allan Guzman. After winning fourth place at the impersonation contest, his dancing and singing skills were revealed and now he plans to venture into recording an album. He also became the opening act for the concert of his idol that he impersonated on the show, international music icon Chris Brown.

Currently, he is a part of the afternoon drama series, Doble Kara, involved in a love triangle between Julia Montes and Maxene Magalona.

3. JayR

After winning third place in first season of Your Face, Jay R had plenty of guest appearances in the TV network especially in the noontime show, It’s Showtime where he became a guest hurado and a contestant in the Clash of Celebrities segment.

4. Nyoy Volante

Winning second place in Your Face season 1 has definitely boosted Nyoy’s career. He has now ventured into acting as well, playing a father role in the daytime TV series, Ningning.
