A Quick Guide to 2015 MMFF movies

It’s that time of the year again for the biggest film festival in the country. This year, the Metro Manila Film Festival presents interesting, fun, heart-wrenching, action-packed movies that will spice up the holiday season. PUSH lists the movies that you should all watch out for this film fest. Here’s a quick guide to the MMFF entries this year:

1. Beauty and the Bestie


Director: Wenn Deramas
Production: ABS-CBN Film Production, Inc. and Viva Communications, Inc.
Starring: Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, James Reid, and Nadine Lustre
Synopsis: The movie tells the story of two best friends Erik and Eman. The entry is an action-comedy flick.

2. All You Need is Pag-Ibig


Director: Antoinette Jadaone ?
Production: ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc.
Starring: Derek Ramsey, Kris Aquino, Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Jodi Sta. Maria, Ian Veneracion
Synopsis: All You Need is Pag-Ibig tells the story of different characters who are experiencing different stages of love.

3. Buy Now, Die Later


Director: Randolph Longjas
Production: Quantum Films 
Starring: Rayver Cruz, Alex Gonzaga, John Lapus, Vhong Navarro, Janine Gutierrez, Lotlot de Leon, TJ Trinidad
Synopsis: Buy Now, Die Later is a compendium of five interconnected stories, each one representing one of the five senses. The story of Odie, Ato, Chloe, Pippa, atnd Maita will remind us that every bargain comes with a price.

4. Haunted Mansion

Starring: Jerome Ponce, Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel
Synopsis: The movie tells the story of students holding a retreat and something terrifying happens afterwards.

5. Nilalang (The Entity)


Director: Pedring Lopez
Production: Haunted Towers Pictures, Inc.
Starring: Cesar Montano, Maria Ozawa
Synopsis:  Nilalang tells the story of a local forensic expert who seeks help from an heiress to solve an organized crime syndicate which originated from Japan.

6. My Bebe Love

Starring: Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Alden Richards, and Maine Mendoza 
Synopsis: The movie is about a nerd named Dondi who falls in love with a rebellious girl named Anna. 

7. Walang Forever

Starring: Jericho Rosales, Jennylyn Mercado
Synopsis: The movie tells the story of Mia, a writer of romantic-comedy movie, who doesn’t believe that love could last.

8. Honor Thy Father

Starring: John Lloyd Cruz
Synopsis: In this suspenseful crime drama film, a pair of married white-collar swindlers run afoul of their latest victim.
