121015-yttop1_main.jpgYouTube released the top trending videos among Filipinos for 2015 with OPM hits dominating the music video category. Though seven slots were taken by Pinoys, the top spot went to Silento’s Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) which went viral globally and inspired thousands of dance covers.

Kim Chiu takes the second spot with her “Mr. Right” music video while Vice Ganda’s “Huwag Kang Pabebe” is in 3rd place.

Set in a cupcake shop, the music video features Kim as a waitress looking for her Mr. Right who turned out to be her onscreen partner Xian Lim. The song is part of her album Chinita Princess which received gold and platinum record awards and a Song of the Year nomination at the 7th PMPC Star Awards for Music.

Vice’s star-studded music video went viral as it featured celebrities like Toni and Alex Gonzaga, Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, and Maja Salvador and the viral sensation Pabebe Girls.

Darren Espanto’s “In Love Ako Sa ‘Yo” is in 4th place. The Voice Kids runner-up recently released his album entitled Darren with his carrier single “In Love Ako Sa’Yo”. The video shows the young singer’s admiration toward a girl while belting lyrics written by Vehnee Saturno.

In the non-music category, Filipinos’ love for reality TV shows stands out in this year’s most watched non-music video list with reality talent competitions taking four out of ten spots. Filipino pride El Gamma Penumbra, an all-male shadow play group, takes the fifth spot. The video features their winning piece at the Asia’s Got Talent Grand Finals.

Dance group Junior New System, also finalists on Asia’s Got Talent, landed in the 10th spot with their Golden Buzzer performance video.
