The great-grand daughter of the third Philippine president, Jose P. Laurel, Denise belongs to a family of artists. She was a theater actress when she was discovered by talent mogul Johnny Manahan. Since then, she has done several projects for mainstream media which included romance and drama series, albums and endorsements, among others.

Her inclination towards the theater arts definitely shone when she joined Your Face especially when she impersonated Broadway actress and The Voice of the Philippines coach Lea Salonga.
