ABS-CBN CEO Charo Santos-Concio graces the screening of the restored 1980 film Kakabaka Ka Ba?

<div><img src='' alt='121015-mscharo1_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>ABS-CBN Film Restoration and Cinema One organized the screening of the restored version of the 1980 musical comedy film entitled, <i>Kakabakaba Ka Ba</i>? last Wednesday night, December 9 at the Trinoma mall. </div><div><br/></div><div>Directed by Mike De Leon, the film starred ABS-CBN’s CEO Charo Santos-Concio, Christopher de Leon, Sandy Andolong, Buboy Garovillo and the late Jay Ilagan and Johnny Delgado. The event was also attended by some of the cast members including the ABS-CBN President, as well as their friends and relatives.  </div><div><br/></div><div>Film restoration head Leo Katigbak shared to moviegoers, “Medyo mahaba rin po ang dinaanan nitong proyektong ito. Mga tatlong taon po rin naming sinubukan inegotitiate at saka ‘yung mga rights ng pelikula at natutuwa rin po kami na natuloy siya. Actually, ito po ang culminating activity ng ABS-CBN Film Restoration ng 2015. And, sabi ko nga, this is also fitting in the sense na it also stars our President, Mrs. Charo Santos-Concio. It’s also the year that she’s retiring.” </div><div><br/></div><div>Meanwhile, Charo told members of the press, “I feel good kasi we’re sharing another Mike De Leon masterpiece to the younger generation.” </div><div><br/></div><div>When asked about how she feels that ABS-CBN restores old movies like <i>Kakabaka Ka Ba</i>?, she answered, “Alam mo naman, this is part of our public service. ‘Yung public service orientation value ng ABS-CBN so we want to be able to share nga the masterpieces of our great directors to the younger generation.” </div><div><br/></div><div>Meanwhile, she spoke about her nearing retirement in another interview. She said, “Well, everything is temporary. You’ll really prepare yourself for a transition when you allow the younger generation to take on the leadership role.”</div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
