Now that his band Hale is back again in the music scene, lead singer Champ Lui Pio could not be more ecstatic about it. In an interview with Push.com.ph, he relayed that they have already big things planned out for next year.
"It feels really great, we're just focused on raising awareness that we are back and introducing our new album that we launched early this year. That's really our focus and I think we've done that and next year we're gearing for a bigger year and hopefully it does happen," he said.
What is the difference between the old Hale and the new Hale? "Well aside from being older, we're definitely wiser and there's this huge sense of gratitude to be able to play again with the same line up and you know it's just an amazing, incredible feeling to be able to do this again," he stated.
As a band, Champ remarked that reinvention is essential to them. "That's really part of our DNA. As musicians, we just want to keep evolving. If you're a musician, you don't get stagnant so we are constantly challenging ourselves to come up with something unique and something new that we've never done before."
Champ also shared that the band is continually creating new music that they would want their fans to hear. "For us, we're really focused on writing new materials. We have that natural distinct sound. I think we are creating more of that and just constantly playing, connecting to our fans."
