Richard Yap admits he felt intimidated by Albert Martinez

112015-ALBERTCHARDYAP_main.jpgKapamilya actor Richard Yap, a new kontrabida in the top-rating drama series Ang Probinsyano, talked about working with actors Coco Martin and Albert Martinez.

“I’ve worked with Coco before so I’m more comfortable already (working) with him kasi we were together before sa Walang Hanggan pero magkaibigan naman kami doon. Dito naman, first time ko ka-work si Sir Albert Martinez and well, it’s kind of intimidating kasi alam mo naman, beterano na ‘yan, very seasoned actor so I have to adjust also so that I can be, parang mahabol ko ‘yung level ng acting niya,” he said.

Nonetheless, Richard shared that the veteran actor gave him some insights about taking on a kontrabida role.

When asked why he thinks it is more fun to play a villain, he replied, “Pinag-usapan namin ‘to ni Sir Albert Martinez, sabi nga niya once you tried playing a kontrabida role, baka magustuhan mo kasi pwede mong laruin ‘yung character mo, you can be someone who looks very innocent pero very evil pala inside. So, marami kang pwedeng gawin as a kontrabida na hindi mo pwedeng gawin kapag nice guy ka.”
