Kyla's latest concert also marks her 15th year in show business.
R&B Princess Kyla got a promotion of sorts as she is now called Queen of R&B.
In a recent interview with Kyla, she said that she's just embracing the title that was given to her.
Meanwhile, the singer is debuting this new title of hers and commemorating her 15th year in the industry through a concert titled Flying High. Happening at the KIA Theater on Friday, Kyla's guests include KZ, Erik Santos, JayR, and the G-Force.
Despite her thriving career, Kyla took a hiatus from the concert scene. The last concert she had was 10 years ago titled Not Just Your Ordinary Girl which was held at the Araneta Coliseum.
"Masyado akong naging kumportable in my life," she explained why the long hiatus. "Siguro po kasi ang dami pong events in my life.
Since it's been a while since she last had a full-blown concert, Kyla revealed that she had to undergo rehearsals for her upcoming show.
"Kasi you can never be too confident," she even stressed.
While there are stars who expressed apprehension with the influx of new artists in the last few years, Kyla remained secure about where she stands in the industry.
"Hindi naman po ako threatened but more on at least kumbaga 'yung sinasabi nila na kung papano mo papapanatilihing relevant sa music industry kasi it's so easy for them...
