Manang Biring director Carl Joseph Papa remarked that he is beyond thankful for the award that his movie has received. "Sobrang overwhelming, yung natapos namin 'yung film parang 'yun na ang reward sa amin pero this is so overwhelming and [I'm] very thankful. It's a story about mothers, really strong mothers," he said.
Best Actress Therese Malvar attributes her success to those she has worked with in Hamog. "Medyo serious po 'yung acting [ko] dito. Minsan po nahihirapan ako kasi dapat akong magalit ng sobra pero with the help of the director, pati ng staff and crew kinaya ko po talaga. So dahil po sa kanila gumanda 'yung energy ng set," she said.
Best Supporting Actor Bor Lentejas (Hamog) said that he did not expect to bag the award. "Hindi ko po in-expect na mananalo po ako. Actually po nawalan po ako ng pag-asa kasi magaling po 'yung nakakalaban ko. Very thankful kasi ako po 'yung napili, nakalaban ko po 'yung magagaling na aktor," he stated.
