The actress shares her plans if ever she wins a Senatorial seat.
In an interview with ANC’s Headstart host Karen Davila, Alma Moreno, who is a senatorial candidate under the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) led by Vice President Jejomar Binay, shared her point of view with the present laws and bills in the country. She also discussed her platforms.
She first expressed that she is against same-sex marriage.
“No, parang ‘di natin matanggap naman na parehong magpapakasal. Yes [I think it’s a sin].
However, she said that she supports the anti-discrimination bill led by Presidential candidate Mar Roxas.
“Yes, discrimination oo.
Despite the discrimination, Alma said that what makes her qualified for the seat is her experience with the legislation.
“Councilor ako ng Parañaque for 9 years, naging first lady ako for 9 years so and sa liga namin sa Philippine Councilors League 9 years din ako sa Sec Gen (Secretary General), as President, as Chairman ngayon.”
When asked what her advocacy would be, the actress then told Karen that her platform would cater to the needs of women.
However, when Karen tells her such laws already exist, Alma began to answer awkwardly, the reason why the video trended.
“Kailangan pa bang sagutin yan?” Alma even asked Karen.
