Committed to finding fresh and exceptional talents, ABS-CBN launched its new dance contest entitled, Dance Kids
which will begin airing at 6 in the evening this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15.
But before we see fresh faces to take on the dance floor, PUSH.com.ph
presents you a list of male celebrities who first made a name in the dance industry.
1. John Prats
John Prats is known for his superb dancing skills which he usually shows during Sunday variety show ASAP’s
Supahdance portion. He became part of three dance albums namely ASAP Ultimate Dance 4, ASAP Supahdance, and ASAP Supahdance 2.
John is also a host of the comedy gag show, Banana Split
which has been repackaged as Banana Sundae.
2. Rayver Cruz
A member of dance royalty in ASAP’s
Supahdance portion, 26-year-old Rayver Cruz also became part of its two dance albums, ASAP Ultimate Dance 4 and ASAP Supahdance 2.
The dancer-actor last appeared in the defunct primetime series, Nathaniel as Archangel Josiah.
3. Enrique Gil
Best known for his iconic role as Xander in the defunct primetime series, Forevermore
opposite actress Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil also became famous for his dancing skills. In fact, he released his own dance album entitled, King of the Gil in 2013 which reached Gold status.
He is currently seen in the Star Cinema movie, Everyday I Love You.
4. Vhong Navarro
Half of the Billy-Vhong dance tandem, It’s Showtime
host Vhong Navarro began his dancing career as a member of the dance group, Streetboys.
Having able to produce many albums as he also ventured in singing, Vhong is one of the dance masters of Dance Kids
, alongside G-Force’s Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, and Andy Alviz.
5. Billy Crawford
The other half of Billy-Vhong tandem, internationally-recognized singer and dancer Billy Crawford is also a host of the noontime show, It’s Showtime.
Billy made a name abroad specifically in Europe where he produced several albums including Trackin and Ride.
6. Mark Herras
Dubbed as the “Bad Boy ng Dance Floor,” Mark Herras produced three self-titled dance albums, Mark Herras Dance Hits, Mark Herras Dance Party, and Mark Herras The Greatest Moves. He became famous for his dance performance of Y-Not’s Average Joe.
7. Bugoy Carino
Considering that he is only 13 years old, Bugoy Carino’s dance skills are definitely impressive.
