EXCLUSIVE: Liza Soberano: ‘Social media is a power but it has great responsibility’

The young actress bagged major awards from the event: the Push Play (YouTube) Awards Best Female Celebrity and the Push Elite Female Celebrity. Liza herself recognized how powerful social media is and how it has a massive impact on people.</div><div><br/></div><div>“Well social media is really powerful but it all depends on how we use it I guess because most of this generation, I think, they don’t know how to use social media in the right manner. Social media is a power but it has great responsibility also, like we should be careful with the words we say on social media, with our actions on social media,” she said in an interview with <a href='http://Push.com.ph'>Push.com.ph</a>.</div><div><br/></div><div>As a celebrity, Liza is fully aware of her reach and her impact on the online world. For that reason, she said that she sees to it that she reminds her followers to always use the social media tools in the right manner. “From time to time, I think everyone knows I do remind people how to use their power wisely and I try to influence my followers by doing the right things most of the time on Twitter and stuff. So that’s how I connect with them,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Apart from bringing home major awards recently, another achievement for Liza is the box-office success of her movie with Enrique Gil titled <i>Everyday I Love You</i>. <i>“Sobrang saya,</i> I wasn’t expecting it. This is not something I would usually say but I really wasn’t expecting it to pass 100 [million] because I even haven’t watched the movie yet so I didn’t know how good it was but I’m happy that all the feedback that we’re getting is pretty okay <i>naman </i>and <i>‘yun masaya kasi </i>it was something really different for me and for Quen (Enrique Gil) and I’m just really blessed that I was able to make it. Expectations were achieved,” she stated.</div><div><br/></div><div>Liza attributed her success to the help and assistance of her co-stars and director Mae Cruz Alviar. “The movie was really hard for me and it was something more mature and I couldn’t have done it all without my co-actors and my director guiding me through the scenes and I really need the help.” Liza revealed that she is set to hit the television screens once again. “Moving forward I have an upcoming soap with Enrique so <i>‘yun ang dapat niyo abangan.”</i></div>
