3 Tales of Undying Love

1. Claudine Barretto for ex-boyfriend and former love team partner Rico Yan

One of the hottest love teams in Philippine TV history, Claudine Barretto and Rico Yan starred in blockbuster hit movies such as Mula sa Puso, Flames the Movie, Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita, and Got 2 Believe, among others.

Unfortunately, the reel-turned-real romance ended tragically as Rico unexpectedly died of acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis or bangungot while he was on vacation at a resort in Palawan, March 29, 2002.

Several years later, his former flame Claudine continues to remember him.

In fact, the actress who would still visit his tomb at the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque, called March 29 her annual nightmare in an Instagram post this year.

Moreover, Claudine was quoted to have confessed thinking about Rico daily, calling him her guardian angel in another PUSH report.

2. Angel Locsin for late boyfriend Miko Sotto

Angel Locsin’s late boyfriend, former GMA 7 actor Miko Sotto died after falling off the ninth floor of a condominium building in Mandaluyong City, December 29, 2003.

Years later, Angel still commemorates Miko’s birthday as she would post greetings on her Instagram account.
