EXCLUSIVE: Arnel Pineda shares a touching fan encounter

<div><img src='' alt='100915-ARNEL_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>In an exclusive interview with <i><a href='/'>PUSH.com.ph</a></i>, <a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/asap/main'><i>ASAP</i></a> mainstay and Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda shared a memorable fan encounter during ASAP 20’s Kapamilya, Thank You event in Binan, Laguna last Sunday, October 4.</div><div><br/></div><div>The international rock singer narrated a touching encounter with one American fan. “He was only 21 years old, may cancer siya. He wrote me a very emotional letter <i>na talagang kinilabutan ako. Tapos ‘nung sinagot ko siya, ang sumagot na lang sa ’kin ‘yung brother niya just to tell me na nag-pass away na ‘yung [kapatid niya]. He was a very big fan.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Arnel said that as a parent, a brother and a fan himself, he can empathize with his loved ones and felt very sad about what happened. “<i>Alam ko ‘yung feeling ‘nung loss niya. I mean nararamdaman ko kung ano ‘yung nararamdaman ng parents niya at saka [‘nung brother]. And then I’m also a fan so alam mo ‘yung meron kang, halimbawa, talagang iniidolo na artist tapos sinulatan mong ganon, sinagot ka… Nabasa niya ‘yun [letter ko] and then after that, he passed away peacefully</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>According to the singer, this experience happened very recently, “He just passed away. <i>Sinagot ko lang siya three weeks ago and then just a week ago, he passed away.</i>”</div>
