Reflecting on the silver anniversary of their onscreen partnership, Richard attributed the success of their tandem to the beautiful projects they have done together.</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Kami kasi ni Dawn, alam naman natin na nagsimula kami ni Dawn sa Hihintayin Kita sa Langit. Nagkaroon kami ng magandang relationship, naging boyfriend-girlfriend kami, and naghiwalay. Pero nong nagbalik tamabalan ulit kami ni Dawn, na-realize ng mga tao na maganda pala ‘tong tambalan na ito and maganda rin ‘yung mga nagagawa namin na mga movie at teleserye at siguro ‘yon ‘yung nagustuhan ng mga fans namin</i>,” Richard said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Dawn said she believes that choosing the right project is the key to their success as a tandem and on how they have stayed this long together in the industry. “<i>Ako kasi I’m just very grateful na hanggang ngayon tinatangkilik pa rin kami ng mga audience, na naaapektuhan pa rin sila sa amin, na gusto pa rin nila kaming makitang working together, falling in love, fighting, getting back together, ‘yun pa rin ‘yung gusto nilang kind of roller coaster ride pag-nanonood sila ng shows namin o movies namin</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Kaya kami ni Richard, we make sure na pinipili namin ‘yung materyal, we really want to make sure na kung ano ‘yung gagawin namin, it’s something na kaabang-abang, gusto rin na makita ng viewers namin. We hope each time we never fail them</i>,” Dawn said.</div><div><br/></div><div>With so many popular young love teams today, what is their advice to them to last long in the industry like they have? Richard responded, “<i>Sabi kasi ni </i>Dawn, <i>wala naman silang naririnig na negative about us. Kaya siguro nabubuwag ‘yung ibang mga </i>love teams <i>dahil nag-aaway sila, may personal na away or biglang nagkaroon ng boyfriend ‘yung isa, girlfriend ang isa at ayaw na magtrabaho</i> together. <i>Sa amin</i> although <i>may kanya-kanya na kaming mga asawa pero naiintidihan ng mga fans kami as a love team</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Dawn added that it is essential to stay professional at all times. “I think [to achieve] longevity as an actor, as a performer, <i>kailangan nahihiwalay mo ‘yung personal mo at sa trabaho mo eh so hindi mo dinadala ‘yung personal mo lalo na ‘pag problema, hindi mo nadadala sa trabaho mo. Kailangan talaga professional ka.
