Singer Jaya posted on her Facebook account that her mother Elizabeth Ramsey has passed away. She was 83. 

Last August, Elizabeth was confined at the Philippine Heart Center after suffering a diabetic seizure. 

Jaya, in an interview, stated that she planned to take her mother under her wing after her confinement to closely monitor her condition. 

Touted the Queen of Philippine Rock and Roll, Elizabeth Ramsey last appeared on ABS-CBN in Your Face Sounds Familiar after Melai Cantiveros impersonated her.
