In an Instagram post early today, it looks like Kris Aquino is backing out of her Metro Manila Film Festival entry.
Kris stated that after she has agreed to a storyline that would ‘bare her insecurities,’ her cinematographer, whom she requested to be on board the project, could not do the movie because of scheduling conflicts.
“I believe I've done my utmost... And now i'm doing what is best for me. Simpleng alaga lang sana sa isang project w/ a pressure packed timeline... It just didn't fall into place. And I know enough to prioritize taking care of me... That's why I choose to walk away. And put myself first, not because I want to be difficult, but simply because I've earned the privilege to say NO w/ courage & dignity. Good Night. THE END,” Kris posted.
Also starring her ex-boyfriend QC Mayor Herbert Bautista, the film first encountered problems because of Kris’ health condition due to her full working schedule which includes taping for Kris TV, Aquino and Abunda Tonight and shooting for the movie Etiquette for Mistresses. After resigning from her evening show with Boy Abunda and wrapping up Etiquette, Kris said her movie for the MMFF is still a go.
In another post on her Instagram last October 3, Kris posted about meeting with creative team and Antoinette Jadaone, the film’s director. She even excitedly announced that Kim Chiu, Xian Lim and her son Bimby Yap will be joining the project which had a working title All You Need is Pag-ibig.
Kris Aquino this afternoon made an apology to Star Cinema head Malou Santos, scriptwriter Kris Gazmen and director Antonette Jadaone on her Instagram, saying she is embarrassed to have accepted a project which she is not ready emotionally, physically and mentally.
