Alex Gonzaga talks about going out with a non-showbiz guy.
After renewing her contract with ABS-CBN
last October 5, Alex Gonzaga said she is happy to remain with her current home network. "I’m going to be a Kapamilya again for two years. Right now I’m busy doing Wansapanataym
and then a movie and ASAP
,” she told Push.com.ph.
Present at the contract signing were ABS-CBN executives Cory Vidanes, Lauren Dyogi, and Star Magic’s Johhny Manahan as well as Alex’s Mommy Pinty who looked very happy during the contract renewal. Alex said she cannot comment on whether the negotiations were easier this time between the management and her parents. "Hindi ko alam yun, hindi ako kasali sa negotiations (laughs). Feeling ko naman madali dahil ang magkakapamilya hindi na dapat nahihirapan yan pag nag-ne-negotiate kasi ano na yan family yan. Blood is thicker than water,” she explained.
Also during the event, Alex could not hide that one of the reasons she is happy nowadays is that she has been seeing a non-showbiz guy for the past two months. "Right now kasi I’m doing my second book, it’s about dating so it just so happens that I met a guy but hindi naman kami talaga so ano lang, getting to know each other. We’ll see. Makikita nating lahat kung anong mangyayari sa second book ko. Malapit ng lumabas,” she said.
The guy, whom Alex wants to keep anonymous for now, visits her at their home all the way in Taytay, Rizal even though he lives in Metro Manila. "We were introduced by common friends. Cute yung story namin but siguro ano na lang hintayin niyo na lang yun sa book. Hopefully if not December siguro Janauary na lang para mas maganda kasi we’re still finishing up the book,” she added.
With her new constant “date” welcome in the Gonzaga home, Alex said she does not feel the need to deny that her parents definitely approve of their courtship. "Hindi naman kasi ako magsisimula to get to know someone hangga’t hindi sila approved kasi hindi naman din nila papayagan na makilala ko or kahit ma-facebook friend ko lang yung lalake. Kung hindi nila approved wala din,” she said.
