During the “ASAP 20’s” Kapamilya Thank You event at Binan, Laguna last Sunday, October 4, actor Gerald Anderson talked about recovering from his shoulder injury and dengue.
While he has completely recuperated from dengue, he said that he is slowly recovering from his shoulder injury.
“Unti-unti. May mga ibang movements na medyo masakit pa kaya ‘yung mga stances ko, ‘yung mga sayaw medyo limited eh but you know, siyempre para sa mga Kapamilya you want to give a great show and do your best,” he said.
On his recovery from dengue, he said, “Marami din mga good things that came out of it kasi I had time to think, recuperate sa hospital… ’Pag may sakit ka, dun mo talaga hahanapin ‘yung nanay mo at saka ‘yung mga kapamilya mo talaga. Sobra, wala akong ibang sinasabi kundi ‘mama.’ Wala naman siya doon, nasa Gen San kasi pero wala akong ibang sinasabi kundi ‘mama.’”
Saying that it was his first time to get dengue, he hopes that it will never happen again. Moreover, he advised, “Napapanood ko sa TV Patrol, ang daming nade-dengue lately so kailangan mag-ingat lahat ng tao.”
Meanwhile, he thanked viewers for supporting the recently-concluded primetime show, Nathaniel. “Thank you sa mga Kapamilya for supporting hanggang sa last episode po namin. Nag 42% kami (sa ratings), as in the highest for the year of any show for the year. So marami, grabe sobrang salamat,” he said, adding that all their efforts have paid off.
Moving on, Gerald was also asked about sharing the stage with ex-girlfriends Maja Salvador and Kim Chiu during the ASAP show to which he said, “Isa lang naman ang goal namin lahat eh, it’s to bring entertainment and ma-inspire ko ‘yung mga tao. So hindi na lang namin iniisip ‘yung mga ganon (ilangan). (Our) goal is to make the people happy and make our Kapamilya dito sa Laguna happy.”
