EXCLUSIVE: Sam Milby denies having 'hidden agenda' in doing international auditions

103015-SAM_main.jpgA decade into the business and heartthrob Sam Milby recalled that he never really thought that he had it in him to become a celebrity after stepping out of the Pinoy Big Brother house.

Sam, who is marking his 10th year anniversary with a concert titled The Milby Way at The Kia Theater on November 28, excitedly shared that he has a lot of projects in store for his fans in the coming months and next year.

There's his soap Written In Our Stars together with Piolo Pascual, Jolina Magdangal, and Toni Gonzaga which is set to air this November and another soap which he says will tackle love that transcends time and death. Then there's his concert and a new album which is slated to be released soon.

Now that he has a series of projects, Sam, in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph, said that he would stay in the country and not pursue his Hollywood dream anytime soon.

But he clarified that the dream remains very much alive, saying that, "But it is something na will take time. Nothing can ever happen but the experience of doing all that and meeting the people there. It's worth it."

If anything, Sam is grateful that, despite leaving the business for three months twice, his fans have remained supportive of his endeavors.

Now, he assured his fans that they will definitely get enough of him on TV.

But while many lauded his determination to get a Hollywood break, some looked at Sam's US ventures as something that's merely done to "elevate" his stature and value in the local entertainment scene.

To this, Sam clarified, "No it's not that. Because if you think about it, it doesn't make your value higher. If you go there, kapag like walang nangyari they'll out it in a negative way. So it's definitely not that. If I could get work there, that would be great."

According to Sam, he wouldn't really have had the guts to continue trying his luck in the US had he not received encouraging words from the people there.

"But 'yun nga, it takes years to get to know how the system is kasi lahat ng tao nag-a-audition dahil hindi ako sanay sa ganon, sa system over there," he said. "The cream of the crop, it's hard competition to be there."

In the meantime Sam is focusing on his upcoming concert which would have Piolo Pascual, Yeng Constantino, KZ, Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Rayver Cruz, Angeline Quinto, and John Prats as guests.

The Milby Way is happening on November 28 at The Kia Theater in Araneta Center.
